Dragon Balls are seven mystical orbs created by the Namekians, including our very own Guardian of the Earth. The creators of them on Earth was first Kami and then Dende. Once you get all seven dragon balls together, you can summon the all powerful dragon Shenron and make a wish!
To get the Dragon Balls in DBX2, you can get them as random gifts, by defeating AI Time Patrollers who want to challenge you in Conton City, or in Parallel Quests. TPs in the hub city who have a chance to give you them and want to fight will have a blue marker above their head. You're guaranteed a Dragon Ball if you beat the NPC Sanud outside of Orange Star High School!
Wishes[edit]
There are 11 wishes you can choose from in DBX2. They are as follows:
The Namekian Guru will give you some of the wishes listed above. These are 'I want a full stomach!', 'I want to grow more!', 'I want a rare item!', and allowing you to use 'I want a new Super/Ultimate attack!' twice. Yakuza 3 help.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 has shipped 1.4 million copies worldwide. As of November 27, 2016, the PS4 version has sold 87,105 copies in Japan. By November 2017 the game had gone on to ship 3.3 million copies worldwide.[4] Sales of the Nintendo Switch version hit 500,000 copies sold by January, 2018.[5]
IGN awarded it a score of 7.5 out of 10, saying 'Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is an ambitious, if rough-edged experience, with deceptively deep RPG and brawling elements.' Hardcore Gamer awarded it 3 out of 5, calling 'a minimal improvement over its predecessor while sharing a lot of the same issues, but there’s just something so endearing about how it all came together.'
Heidi Kemps of GameSpot awarded the game a 7 out of 10, praising the combat and fan service while criticizing the combat for being repetitive and the missions with a non-combat focus as 'generally poor'. Kyle Hilliard of Game Informer also awarded it a 7 out of 10, praising the addition of Conton City but criticized the combat system for being almost identical to the first Xenoverse game and the soundtrack as 'consistently awful'.
Trivia
- As with the first Xenoverse, there is no specific race for Androids, but the special Android abilities are available as learnable skills.
- There is a reference to Dragon Ball: Raging Blast when the Future Warrior is training with Goku on his instructor quest Lesson 3 after Goku is defeated, Goku will say that the battle was a raging blast.
- Final Form Mira has special quotes with characters despite not being playable without the modification of the game's files. However it should be noted it is possible for special quotes to triggered mid-battle when certain characters (player controlled and ally NPCs) fight each other in certain modes such as Parallel Quests and Final Form Mira does appear as an enemy NPC in certain Expert Missions.
- There are many different hidden audio files, such as Goku Black originally being able to use the Kaio-ken and the Solar Flare. There are also lines that show Goten being able to wield the Power Pole.
- This is the second game in which Bardock and Future Gohan appear on the game cover, the first being Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butōden and the PAL and Asian versions of Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai - Another Road, respectively.
- In a special dialog between Future Trunks and Pan, Trunks says 'You're not the Trunks I know', where the correct quote would be 'I'm not the Trunks you know'. The mistake was present in Dragon Ball Xenoverse and has not been corrected.
- For unknown reasons, during the special dialogue Teen Gohan has with Bojack, the player can hear Adult Gohan's voice instead of Teen Gohan's.
